While elf is the first real holiday movie this season, I dare say it will likely be the best. Will Ferrell is simply ideal in this role, playing the ultimate man out of his element as one of Santa's elves on the loose in NYC trying to connect with his corporate bigwig "naughty list" long lost dad played expertly by James Caan. Adults and kids alike will thoroughly enjoy this holiday romp from start to finish.
